Symposium success!

Well that went better than could be hoped for! The 1st Eagle Genomics Symposium ("Provisioning Bioinformatics For The Next Decade - Are We Prepared?") proceeded very smoothly with a wide variety of interesting talks and plenty of discussions and networking taking place during the breaks. The delegates came from across Europe and included a number of Heads of Bioinformatics/R&D IT from several large biotech and big pharma companies mixing with academics and small businesses. Such a mixed bunch allowed real cross-industry and cross-sector discussions to take place, and the feedback so far has shown that this was a very valuable event for the delegates attending.

Thanks must go to all our speakers for contributing their time and effort to help make this event a success. For those out there reading this who couldn't make it, please go here for the complete list of presentations.

Planning now starts for the 2nd Eagle Symposium to take place on  March 29th 2012 - and at the same venue - the Babraham Research Campus Conference Centre. Suggestions for topics and speaker proposals are most welcome!
