Cambridge, 18 March 2013 - Eagle, the UK’s leading bioinformatics consultancy, and HB Technologies AG, a Germany-based software and hardware manufacturer, have signed a deal appointing HB Technologies as exclusive distributor for Eagle’s products and services throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.
The deal will allow Eagle to significantly expand its reach in the German-speaking market. Working closely with a local representative such as HB Technologies AG allows Eagle to get much closer to customers in the region and better understand their requirements and methodologies, ultimately delivering better quality services and more effective results. HB Technologies will source new projects and opportunities for Eagle whilst Eagle will continue to carry out all delivery and implementation work.
Richard Holland, Eagle’s Chief Business Officer, said “Eagle are excited to partner with HB Technologies in this way as it will open new doors for us and allow us to extend our reach further into the European markets, where many big pharma and related companies have their R&D headquarters.
“Eagle views overseas representation as key to continued expansion of its already substantial international customer base. With existing customers in the UK, USA, France, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Malaysia, and Singapore, Eagle is no stranger to the business of working across time zones and through language barriers.”
Dr. Steffen Hüttner, CEO of HB Technologies AG, said “The collaboration with Eagle shall accelerate the process for entering the market because we can present specific solutions for special needs. We also hope to get in closer touch with existing and new customers concerning bioinformatics services and other questions and to show our strengths in the bioinformatics sector.”
